His first mentor, Merikutty Teacher, taught him the importance of discipline and dedication, while P. V. Velsi Sir nurtured his competitive edge during his university years.

Supported by his village Amara and the National Arts and Sports Club, he achieved early recognition, earning the Best Athlete Award from the Government of Kerala in 1991 — a milestone that would mark the beginning of a career dedicated to mentoring champions.

  • Dr. Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, who offered him the platform to develop athletes.
